Today is boxing day so the markets are cancelled, it's also raining.
Blacktown Markets reopens on 9/1/11 and North Rocks Markets reopens 2/1/11.
There should be some bargains in January with people selling unwanted christmas gifts.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Sunday 28 November 2010 - Market Buys
This morning from Blacktown Markets I bought:
1 Grey T-shirt "Nike" $4
The markets were full of stalls however it started to spit with rain so they all covered up with plastic sheets. Even when the rain stopped I couldnt find anything to buy. I dont think I was in the right frame of mind this morning.
Normally after Blacktown I go to North Rocks Markets but knowing what whimps they are (if it evens looks overcast they pack up) I decided not to go so I drove to Baulkham Hills Stockland Mall for a coffee and newspaper.
I also went into Harris Farm Markets and bought:
Mangoe's $4 a bucket
Strawberries 3 punets for $5
I got 6 punets but she only charged me for 3, I didnt notice this till I got home otherwise I would have corrected her silly mistake.

Saturday 30th October - SOS Fundraiser
I went to a fundraiser dinner for "Save Our Strays". A lady called Tracy who runs her own dog shelter, she was also on T.V for "Secret Millionaire" and got a donation from the CEO of Aussiebum.
To raise funds they held a silent auction and I was the winning bidder of the below picture which I will eventually give to my Dad as a present.
I put on about 5 bids before I won out at $91. Vanessa reminded me it's for charity but the bargain hunter in me stills wants to buy things at the best possible price. ;-)

Sunday 10 October 2010 - No Markets
I didnt go to the markets today, when I woke up it was raining again.
The weather cleared but I decided it still wasnt worth going as not many stall holders attend if it even looks like rain because they dont want their stock to get wet.
This week I am having withdrawls. I was really looking forward to having a proper weekend where I play tennis Saturday afternoons and markets on Sunday mornings. damm the rain again !!!
I think I will spend the money and go to Aldi to buy a digital camera that's on special.

Sunday 3 October 2010- No Markets
No Markets today due to the wet weather.
I am not having withdrawls. ha ha ha
Day Light Savings also started this morning which I forgot about so now I have lost an hour. It always seems to take me a week to adjust to this time change. I hope it doesnt this year.
This morning instead of going to the markets I went to Baulkham Hills Shopping Centre for a coffee and read the paper then dropped into my brothers house, took his dog "Diesel" for a 45 min walk. Diesel was longing to get out of the backyard.
This long weekend I have to feed the animals as my parents are on holidays oversea's and my brothers family have gone to the Gold Coast. I am feeding a dog, 2 cats and 2 budgies.

Wednesday 18 August 2010 Market Buys & More
This morning I went on an adventure with my friend Vanessa, we went to Preston Markets as recommended by Lorraine (Stall Holder at North Rocks) who we happened to see their.
Also Vanessa gave me a pressie - blue garden budgie. We stopped at Liverpool Bunnings along the way to buy more but they ran out. I should have taken this as a warning sign for the lack of buying at Preston Markets.
Below is what I bought:
Bag of Potato's $2
Bag of Snow Pea's $2
Ornamental White Birds $2
The above markets were very dissappointing as I stuggled to find something to buy and I tried. I was cashed up and ready. I will probably only go there once a year which would be on the way to Cobbity Winery.
After the markets Vanessa suggested we go to Cobbity Winery, so I was like "ok - why not, today is an adventure".
This winery was so cheap. I bought the below for total cost of $34.60:
2 Bottles of Lambrusco
2 Bottles of Camden Gold
1 Bottle of Merlot
1 Bottle of Coffee Licquer
1 Bottle of Creme De Cacao
Following the winery, we stopped for lunch at Cobbity Cafe in the Town Centre. Please note: There are 2 shops and a school in the Town Centre.
After I dropped Vanessa home I went to the Salvo store at North Parramatta and bought a pair of Levi 584 jeans for $10

Introduction
Welcome to the relaunch of my blog.
I recently bought a computer after going without for more than 2 years, when I get chance I'll update with bargains I have bought at my local Trash & Treasure markets.
I may even post some of my thoughts.
Never stop growing up and as some people remind me (live for the now).
